England's 2030 school holidays are defined by a late Easter (21 April) followed quickly by the Early May Bank Holiday (6 May). The spring term runs approximately 8โ9 weeks before the Easter break โ longer than in early-Easter years โ but the gap between Easter and May half-term is very short at around 3โ4 weeks.
May half-term: The Spring Bank Holiday (27 May) gives schools a half-term week around 27 May. With Easter on 21 April, this is the shortest Easter-to-half-term gap of the 2024โ2031 period.
Summer holidays: England's ~6-week summer break runs from late July to early September. The Summer Bank Holiday (26 August) is the last day of the summer bank holiday weekend.
Christmas 2030: Christmas Day (25 December) falls on a Wednesday. Most schools will schedule Christmas holidays from approximately 19โ20 December 2030 to 5โ7 January 2031. New Year's Day (1 January 2031) is a Wednesday โ mid-week, with no automatic long weekend.
