Spain's 2027 school holidays are shaped by a very early Easter (28 March) that places Semana Santa school breaks in mid-to-late March across most autonomous communities. The spring term is very short โ approximately 6โ7 weeks from January to the Semana Santa break.
Constitution Day (6 December, Monday) gives students a three-day weekend, and with the Immaculate Conception (8 December, Wednesday) just two days later, many communities extend this into a longer break.
Summer holidays: Spain's ~10โ11 week summer break runs from approximately 20 June to early September.
Semana Santa 2027: Holy Week school break falls in the third week of March. Most communities give students the week of 22โ26 March off.
Christmas break 2027: Most regions schedule Christmas school holidays from approximately 23 December 2027 to 7 January 2028. Epiphany (6 January 2028) falls on a Thursday โ schools return Friday 7 January or the following Monday.
